Der Fushimi Inari-Taisha ist ein Shintō-Schrein im Stadtbezirk Fushimi der Stadt Kyōto.

Das Nationalmuseum Kyōto wurde 1897 als Kaiserliches Museum Kyōto gegründet und ist eines der ältesten und bedeutendsten Kunstmuseen Japans. Es steht im Stadtbezirk Higashiyama-ku in Kyōto. Seinen Sammlungsschwerpunkt stellt die vormoderne japanische und asiatische Kunst dar.

Kiyomizu-dera bezeichnet mehrere buddhistische Tempel, aber meistens ist damit der Otowasan Kiyomizudera in Ost-Kyōto gemeint, eine der bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt. Der Tempel wurde 1994 zusammen mit anderen Stätten zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe Historisches Kyōto ernannt. Der Kiyomizu-dera ist der sechzehnte Tempel des Saigoku-Pilgerweges.

Sannenzaka, or Sannen-zaka (三年坂), is a stone-paved pedestrian road and tourist attraction in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto, Japan. The road is lined with traditional buildings and shops, and is often paired with the similar road, Ninenzaka. The two roads lead to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kodaiji Temple and Yasaka-jinjia Shrine, which are a few famous sights in Kyoto. Sannenzaka itself is a narrow slope that is filled with around 60 shops and restaurants that sell traditional products and food from Kyoto.

Der Yasaka-Schrein, ehemals als Gion-Schrein bezeichnet, ist ein Shintō-Schrein im Viertel Gion des Stadtbezirks Higashiyama-ku von Kyōto in Japan. Gelegen am östlichen Ende der Shijo-dori, wurde er im Jahre 656 erbaut und ist Susanoo-no-mikoto als Haupt-Kami zusammen mit seiner Ehefrau Inada-hime-no-mikoto und seinen acht Kindern geweiht. Vor der Trennung von Shintō und Buddhismus (Shinbutsu-Bunri) waren die eingeschreinten Gottheiten Gozu-Tennō, dessen Frau Harisainyo und dessen acht Kinder (hachiōji), die mit den vorgenannten Shintō-Gottheiten teils gleichgesetzt (Shinbutsu-Shūgō) werden.

Der Maruyama-Park ist der älteste öffentliche Park von Kyōto.

Nishiki Market (錦市場, Nishiki Ichiba; literally "brocade market") is a marketplace in downtown Kyoto, located on the east end of Nishikikōji Street, one block north and parallel to Shijō Street (四条通, Shijō-dōri) and west of Teramachi Street (寺町通, Teramachi-dōri). Rich with history and tradition, the market is renowned as the place to obtain many of Kyoto's famous foods and goods.

Ponto-chō (先斗町) is a hanamachi district in Kyoto, Japan, known for its geiko and maiko, and is home to many of the city's okiya and traditional tea houses. Like Gion, Ponto-chō is famous for the preservation of forms of traditional architecture and entertainment.
