How it works
One trip, several cities, each with its own walking route.
- On the planner, enter your first city, then click Add destination for the second (and third).
- Assign days to each city — 1 to 5 days per city. For a 7-day trip, a 3 + 2 + 2 split works well.
- Choose a pace (easy / balanced / packed) and add any must-see places.
- Generate. Each city gets a day-by-day walking route on the map — edit it, share a link, or export an offline copy.
Classic splits to copy
Three well-trodden combinations, with a published sample route for every city.
Tokyo → Kyoto → Osaka
Three days in Tokyo, shinkansen to Kyoto (~2¼ hours) for two slower temple days, then 15–30 minutes by train to Osaka for food and nightlife.
Paris → London
Three days on each side of the Channel, connected by a ~2¼-hour Eurostar from city centre to city centre — no airport day lost.
Rome → Florence → Venice
Rome's ruins and piazzas first, a ~1½-hour train to Florence for the Renaissance core, then ~2 hours on to Venice to finish on the water.
Tips for a multi-city trip
- Keep at least two days per city. One-day stops spend half their time on luggage and stations; the planner supports 1-day cities, but two feel very different.
- Make travel days light days. After generating, drag the heavier stops off your arrival day — the itinerary is fully editable.
- Favor train pairs. City-centre to city-centre rail (Paris–London, Rome–Florence, Tokyo–Kyoto) wastes far less of the day than flying.
- Export before you go. Each city's route exports as an offline HTML page — useful when you're roaming between countries. For planning the split itself, see our multi-city planning guide.
FAQ
How many cities can I add to one trip?
As many as your trip needs, with 1–5 days per city. Most trips work best with two or three cities — enough variety without spending every other day in transit.
Does it plan the travel between cities?
No — CityWalk Plan plans your walking days inside each city. Book the train or flight separately, and keep the arrival day light; the itinerary is easy to edit.
How should I split my days?
Give the biggest city the most days and keep at least two days per city where you can. For 7 days, 3 + 2 + 2 is a good default; for 6 days, 3 + 3.
Is the multi-city planner free?
Yes — free, no sign-up, no account. The site is supported by optional affiliate booking links.
Can I edit the itinerary after generating it?
Yes. Move places between days, reorder or remove them, or add your own — then share a link or export an offline HTML copy.
